How Online Training works

In the current era of Internet, online training is getting popular day by day. Equivocally, online training is the best tool for one-on-one training. The main advantage of online training is that the tutor focuses all his/her attention on just one student during the whole training session. When the student gets complete attention of the tutor, it makes a huge difference! In simple terms, online training is the way of performing training activities using Internet and its applications. It is a process by which a student learns with use of Internet by an expert tutor in the concerned subject.

Online training can be performed by several web-based. Some of the most common programs or applications are email, GTalk, instant messaging, online whiteboards (such as provided with Microsoft netmeeting), Skype, WebEx etc.  Out of these, Sypke, Gtalk, and Yahoo Messenger are most common online training tools in India. Through these programs and applications, a tutor can send test/quizzes, receive completed exams, and send results of test/quizzes and recommendations to students.

Requirements for Online Training:

For online training, the following applications or programs and equipment are required.

1. A computer/ laptop with regular configurations.
2. A broadband connection with a minimum speed of 128 kilobytes per second is prescribed.
3. Webcam. If there is an inbuilt webcam in laptop, no need to buy another one.
4. Microphone with headset. If the laptop has inbuilt microphone with speakers no need to buy external microphone.

Microphones and cameras are used for online chat. This ensures that the training process will be smooth. A headset containing a microphone and a speaker to be used in conjunction with voice chat applications is also required in order to save on phone bills. An online whiteboard or a shared screen where the lesson will be posted and discussed and a web camera for videos are also necessary.
